2. Data Sourcing

Points to note:

1) The profile of one of the most popular ESG vendors receiving 1-on-1s at the moment:

  • This vendor’s data tracks executives and alerts asset managers to changes in the C-suite’s potential to deliver positive business outcomes and maintain a highly functional, stable, and performance driven executive management team.

2) Data Sourcing clients get access to our semi-proprietary datasets e.g. we are launching a RevCast dataset imminently. Eagle Alpha’s RevCast indicators are company level revenue indicators, designed to predict quarterly revenues for major US consumer companies.

3) Examples of client requests:

  • What are the best consumer transactions data vendors for the Canadian market?
  • What are the best pricing datasets for food and clothing?
  • What are the best alternative datasets to analyse the healthcare sector?

4) Upcoming roadshows:

  • May 30-31, Zurich: A sentiment data provider is meeting funds. This provider delivers investment signals based on sentiment and emotions analysis of over 120,000 data sources, focusing on social trading websites and specialized press. Signals are available for more than 2,000 tickers as well as bonds, currencies and commodities.

Contact us to speak to our data hunting team: enquiries@eaglealpha.com.

3. Data Analytics

Eagle Alpha’s “Search Signal” for Electronic Arts continues to weaken from a downtrend that began in the summer of 2017. The 3-month moving average of our signal tried to rebound at the end of 2017 but has rolled over again. This has has pulled the longer-term 12-month moving average sharply lower.

The weakness observed in our signal implies that revenue growth, and consensus estimates, are likely to face headwinds in future quarters.
